This is a very rare form of breast pain. A vast majority of women who come in with breast cancer do not have breast pain, but this can be a reason for your breast pain.

The most common cause of breast pain is the hormone change that comes along with your periods. The normal body response that occurs for the change in hormone is swelling and tenderness of the breasts.
