Lifestyle diseases are also known as 'Diseases Of Longevity'. These diseases are linked with the way people live in their life.
These diseases are on the rise these days due to the unhealthy way of living that people are following. These lifestyle disorders include bad food habits, physical inactivity, wrong body posture as well as disturbed biological clocks.
In this era, we hardly give a thought to our lifestyle. We tend to ignore our health completely and find an easy way to fix everything.
Lack of physical activity and taking in too much of calorie-rich foods can give rise to several problems in our body.
Although we, as Indians, have been successful in combating several communicable diseases that most of the developing countries are still striving to do, a new wave of lifestyle diseases have swept past our region.
The younger generation is more prone to these diseases, due to their way of following unhealthy eating habits, sedentary lifestyle and susceptibility to stress.

1. Obesity:
If you feel that your weight scale is only increasing over the months, then you really need to take your time off to focus on your increasing waistline. Obesity tops the list of lifestyle diseases and can lead to various other health complications.
2. Body Sweats:
Sweating more profusely is actually a lifestyle disorder. This occurs when the body temperature varies due to high external temperatures, vigorous exercises or certain hormonal imbalances.
This activates two-five million sweat glands that are spread across the skin. Overweight people tend to sweat more profusely than normal people.
3. Acne:
Eating junk, sleeping less or not drinking enough water can actually lead to this condition and no cream or face wash can rid you off this plight.
4. Sleeplessness:
Sacrificing your sleep to spend extra time with your gadgets is the last thing that you must be doing to yourself. You can suffer from various consequences as a result of this and it's high time you allotted a good 7-8 hours for your sleep. This is one of the top lifestyle disorders in India.
5. Dark Circles:
Lack of sleep can give you signs on your face in the form of dark circles. You'll also end up looking tired and worse. Working late hours, not sleeping well and not eating right can be evidently visible on your face.
6. Back And Neck Pain:
Sitting in front of the system for longer hours can give you back and neck pain. Bad posture while sitting and working can also give rise to injury of the muscles and joints.
7. Hair Loss:
Both men and women are suffering from bouts of hair loss. The chief reason for hair loss can be attributed to stress, pollution and poor nutrition. This is one of the top common lifestyle diseases.
8. Acidity And Gastrointestinal Issues:
Drinks and packaged foods can play a big role in giving us problems to our body. Consuming excess of acidic foods can disrupt the pH balance of the stomach and give rise to various diseases.

9. Constipation:
Packaged foods that we consume contain very less amount of fibre and this can lead to constipation. Constipation can wreak havoc with our appetite and make us feel uncomfortable throughout the day.
10. Irritable Bowel Syndrome:
This is a mix of pain or discomfort or trouble in the bowel movements. This can make one go to the washroom more than often, suffer from diarrhoea or have a different kind of stool. Some of the main causes of IBS are stress, foods, hormones and other illnesses.
11. Anxiety:
A stressful life can lead to anxiety. This can result in unmitigated stress that can form various anxiety disorders. A number of other adverse factors happening in life can also lead to anxiety disorder symptoms.
12. Skin Ageing:
Environment and lifestyle choices can make our skin age faster than it should. This is termed as extrinsic ageing. Drinking lots of water, eating a healthy and a well-balanced diet will help you get relief from this condition.
13. Allergies:
Allergy symptoms can occur when the immune system overreacts to an allergen. Some of these allergens are plant pollens, dust mites, molds, insect bites, insect stings or food.
14. Migraines:
Migraines can cause headaches to occur and this can be triggered off due to conditions like food habits, excess alcohol intake or due to certain smells. Badly managed lifestyle and poor food choices are the main reasons for migraine.
15. PCOS:
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a lifestyle disease that occurs in women of the reproductive age. This occurs majorly due to the woman following an irregular lifestyle pattern.
