Our body has the ability to regulate temperature normally. When it gets too hot, it uses some strategies to cool down, like sweating.
If a person spends too much time in the hot weather without consuming enough fluids, the cooling process may not work properly. So, when the body gets dehydrated, it will no longer be able to cool itself by sweating.

The body temperature may increase causing sickness. Heat stroke is a life threatening kind of an illness. It can lead to neurological changes like unconsciousness and mental confusion.
This is because, at high temperature, the membranes and the body's proteins in the body cells, especially the brain, may get destroyed.
Extreme heat can also damage the internal organs, leading to the breakdown of blood vessels and heart muscle mass. Fluid loss may also lead to low blood pressure.
Most of the people suffer from an irreparable loss during heat stroke, especially when their heart cannot pump effectively. So, continue reading to know more about the symptoms of heat stroke.

1. High Body Temperature:
A person experiences heat stroke when the body temperature goes beyond 105 degree F. This can affect the central nervous system due to the exposure to heat.

2. Flushed Skin:
Hot and flushed skin is a symptom of heat stroke. In case your skin becomes hot and red, then it means you have a high body temperature and must consult a doctor immediately.

3. Extreme Fatigue:
Experiencing continuous fatigue along with some other symptom can be a sign of heat stroke that you must be aware of.

4. Rapid Heartbeat:
If you have experienced rapid heart beat after you have been out in the sun, it can be a problem.

5. Nausea:
Constant nausea and uncomfortable feeling in the stomach combined with dizziness can be a dangerous symptom of heat stroke.

6. Lack Of/No Sweating:
Profuse sweating alone needn't be a symptom of heat stroke and sometimes, less/no sweating can also be one of the symptoms to show that a person is suffering from heat stroke.
