Yoga Exercises For Hernia
Hernia is a common disease in which the lower abdominal muscles become weak. Hernia is a condition of outward projection of human internal organ through an opening or a hole. The major cause of hernia is the growth of tension in the muscles. The condition of hernia many time results in coming out of the intestine part and sometimes it is called as a disease of urinary systems and reproductive system too.
Patients suffering from Hernia realise different types of hernia symptoms on their body which are totally dependent on its location in the body. However, the most common types of hernia that are notified in the body of its sufferers are Inguinal Hernia, Femoral hernia and Umbilical Hernia. Earlier, it was believed by the people suffering from hernia that it can be cured only by surgical approach, but you'll be amazed to know that hernia is easily curable through yoga exercises.

Yoga exercises have proved to be quite efficient in curing different types of hernia depending upon the severity of the condition. Regular practicing of yoga exercises also brings major changes on the patient's lifestyle.
Asana- Asana is the best exercise for curing hernia. Asana is not difficult to perform, but it is advisable to adapt such asana under the guidance of perfect exercise trainer so as to achieve desirable result against hernia conditions. Following types of asana proves to be effective in treatment of hernia.
Supta Vajrasana- This asana is performed with an aid of elbows, head and shoulders. You need to sit, bend your elbows backward and place your head on the floor. While doing this exercise, your back must be bowed and knees position must need to be fixed on the floor. It is always suggested to close eyes and keeping the whole body in loose position while performing this yoga so that you can attain better result in recovering from hernia.
Sarvangasana- Sarvangasana is another type of asana which is somehow difficult to perform. To perform this exercise, you first need to lie down on your stomach followed by placing both hands by the side of your body keeping the palm fixed on the floor. After this, you need to raise the legs up with support of your hand. Bend elbows keeping the palms straight is next step of Sarvangasana during which position of legs and trunks must be kept perpendicular to the neck.
Vipareetkarani Mudra- Vipareetkarani Mudra is somehow a similar yoga exercise like Sarvangasana but in this yoga, trunk angle needs to be of 45 degree which is 90 degree in sarvangasana.
Halasana- This type of yoga exercise is done by placing side of buttocks after you have lie down on your back. You then need to light your legs up straight without giving any pressure to your hands next; you need to take your legs back over your head thereby touching your toes with floor.
Other Yoga for Hernia
Some other exercises which proved to be highly effective in treatment of hernia types are Pashini Mudra, Aswini Mudra, Yogamudra, Jalandhat bandh, Moolabandha, Uddiyan Bandha etc. These exercises must be performed with certain precautions and under a fitness trainer so that the exercise may not harm your health.
