Genital Hygiene Tips For Women!

Genital hygiene for women:
1. Keep the genital area clean by washing it everyday. Be more particular after passing defecation (stool). Bacterias and yeasts form in the intestines so don't forget to clean the vagina properly after defecation.
2. While taking bath, also clean the clitoris and urethra area because they have secretions. Use soap or body wash to clean the women genital area.
3. Wear pure cotton or silk garments. Avoid wearing synthetic or polyester undergarments as they become wet easily and take time to dry therefore building bacteria.
4. Before an intercourse, wash the genital area. This not only ensures vaginal hygiene but also helps get rid of vaginal odour.
5. After an intercourse, wash the genital area. It is better to wash within 20 minutes to avoid getting infections. Need not take bath time and again. Simply wash the genital area with water.
6. After the bath, try to dry the genital area. Moisture makes the bacteria breed faster. If the lingerie becomes wet due to secretions, change them twice in a day.
7. Remove genital hair whenever it grows. Vaginal hygiene is best when the genital area is clean. This also avoids getting moisture and vaginal smell.
8. During the menstruation, change the pad or napkin after 3-4 hours or when it becomes moist. Avoid using tampons as they are unhygienic and can also spread bacteria in the vagina or enhance the growth of bacteria.
9. Change wet clothes immediately. Try to keep the genital area dry when possible.
10. Avoid wearing tight pants and garments. This doesn't let the skin breathe therefore building moisture.
11. If you are prone to getting genital infections, wash the vagina with a pH soap after 2-3 urinations.
12. Don't sit on unclean public toilet. Clean the seat before sitting. Vaginal infections are more commonly caused due to the public toilets. Also, don't flush when you are sitting as the bacteria and germs from the toilet flies after flushing.
13. Avoid eating meat as it builds vagina odour. To maintain genital hygiene, women should eat green vegetables, fresh fruits and drink 2 litres of water. It also helps facing dehydration burn in the vagina.
Follow these points to maintain women genital hygiene to smell good and pleasant.
