Like women, men too face this hormonal change as they grow old. They experience a decrease in hormones when they reach middle age.
During menopause a woman experience lowered fatigue, libido or mental stress. In case of men too, all these hormonal variant borne health issues are seen, as the level of testosterone lowers.
Men menopause is something very bizarre. It affects a very less percent of men, approximately 3 percent of men experience menopause. Although lower testosterone is a symptom of their menopause, this hormonal scenario can occur due to ageing as well.
According to Mayo Clinic, men experience 1 percent decrease in their testosterone level as they enter their thirties. By the time they hit their seventies the level can decrease to 50 percent. Medical conditions like obstructive sleep apnea, can also be counted for the decline in testosterone level.
Experts say that as men grow old if required they should go for testosterone-replacement therapy.
