The nose, throat, lungs, stomach and the skin are the major body parts that are affected by allergens. Once you are affected by allergies, you tend to feel irritated and uncomfortable and this goes on to affect one's daily activities.
A runny nose, itchy throat, wheezing, skin rashes, sneezing and red eyes are a few of the major symptoms of allergic reactions. For a few it can be minor but for those who have serious symptoms, it needs to be immediately attended to. If not taken care of on time, it might turn fatal as well.

1. Garlic:
Garlic is loaded with antibiotic, anti-allergy, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to drive away any form of seasonal allergies. Take about two garlic cloves, crush them and consume every day.
2. Ginger:
Ginger is known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy properties. Drink about 1-2 cups of ginger tea every day; it helps to prevent allergies.
3. Turmeric:
The compound called curcumin present in turmeric is known for its rich antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that helps in keeping off allergies. Take a teaspoon of turmeric and add it to a glass of warm milk and drink it every day.
4. Flaxseed:
Flaxseeds contain selenium and omega-3 fatty acids, the two most important ingredients that help in preventing allergies. Take one tablespoon of flaxseed, add it to a glass of warm water or milk and have this once a day.
5. Green Tea:
Known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, green tea also helps in boosting the immune system and prevents any kind of seasonal allergies. Drinking 2 cups of green tea helps.
6. Lemon:
Rich in vitamin C, lemon helps in boosting the immune system and helps in preventing infections and allergies. Drinking a glass of lemon water every day helps.
7. Apples:
Eating just one apple a day helps in keeping you away from any form of allergies. Apples contains a flavonoid called quercetin that has the properties of fighting allergies.
8. Sweet Potato:
Sweet potato is rich in vitamin C, vitamin B6, beta-carotene, potassium and manganese. It helps in boosting the immune system and prevents any kind of allergies. Consuming sweet potato on a regular basis helps.
