Food To Prevent Osteoporosis

Food that can prevent osteoporosis:
Spinach: Green leafy vegetables like spinach are rich source of vitamin K (protein supplier to the bones), B6 and folate ( two nutrients that inhibit homocysteine, a dangerous molecule that can prevent collagen from forming a proper bone matrix) apart from magnesium and calcium. Have spinach food to prevent osteoporosis.
Oats: These alkalizes like grains and has mineral components which are healthy for the bones.
Asparagus: This is one of the most recommended food to prevent osteoporosis due to its nutrition content. Including this in the alkalizing diet is good as asparagus will help keep the bones healthy and strong
Cabbage: This is high in vitamin K, B6 and folate, which are essential for the bone health. It is also good in mineral calcium and is high in vitamin C which improves the absorption of calcium in the body.
Green peas are rich source of vitamin K and vitamins. Prefer having fresh and organic green peas rather than frozen or canned to enjoy the benefit of the small green balls.
Broccoli is high in magnesium, calcium and vitamins which improves the calcium absorption. This food prevents osteoporosis. Include in your diet to stay healthy and free from bone problems.
Parsley: This leafy green food prevents osteoporosis and maintains strong bones. Vitamin K1 in parsley prevents the over-activity of osteoclasts ( the cells which release minerals in the blood), converts Vitamin K1 into Vitamin K2 which increases osteocalcin (the major protein in bone which leads the calcium molecules in bone).
Lemon/ lime: Even if it is acidic in nature, lemon/ lime have an alkalizing effect on the body. The minerals in lemons maintain bone strength and the vitamin C increases the calcium absorption.
So, have these food to prevent osteoporosis and any food which are rich in Vitamin K, B6, folate, magnesium and calcium are good food for diet and also prevents osteoporosis.
