Are Cornflakes Good For Health?

Furthermore, cornflakes typically contain artificial flavours, preservatives, and other additives that can be potentially harmful to health [2].

However, it's important to pay attention to the ingredients and nutrition facts of the cereal you buy and to not rely on cornflakes as your primary source of nutrients.
What Happens When You Eat Cornflakes Daily?
In addition to being high in carbohydrates and sugar, cornflakes may contain additives and preservatives which can be harmful if consumed excessively over a prolonged period of time. Additionally, they may lack the essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are necessary for proper health and development [4].
Therefore, eating cornflakes daily may not be a healthy solution.

Who Should Avoid Cornflakes?
As cornflakes contain a high amount of sugar, they are associated with an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Also, as cornflakes contain high levels of sugars in the form of high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), they have a high Glycaemic Index (GI) value - almost 82 - which is not good for those with diabetes [5].
