This year was the year of fashion experiments. Indian designers take a different approach towards ethnic couture. Every year Bollywood stars give us an insight into the trends. In 2016, many Bollywood stars were seen sporting international trends and some created their own Bollywood fashion trends.
From the divas to the bloggers, everyone was handcuffed by these fashion trends. And as the year ends, we have decided to look through the fashion highlights. The trends that took over 2016. The trends we all loved and flaunted like it's a big deal. So here's to the biggest trends in 2016.

Bomber Jackets
If something won airport fashion, it was bomber jackets. Satin, floral, see-throughs, it didn't stop on fabrics. The trend was sported by likes of Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt. Top fashionista A-listed these jackets for their airport lookbook.
Chokers
If something dominated 2016, it was a choker. From lace to classic blacks, pearl, embellished and even shoelaces were seen throughout the year. Karishma Kapoor even wore it on a Sabyasachi saree. Be it the red carpet or the promotion, chokers were seen everywhere.
Crew-neck Blouses
In Indian fashion category, it was the crew neck blouses that ruled the wardrobes. From Deepika Padukone to Kangana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor, all the major fashionistas were taking the festive season to another level with this innovative shirt-like-blouse pattern. In fact, Sabyasachi amplified its look in his new collection and Anavila further added her handloom touch to it. In all, these blouses were adored by all.
Off-The-Shoulder
It wasn't only the Bollywood trend but also became an international trend this year. The cold shoulder won hearts of many, including fashionistas like Deepika Padukone, Aditi Rao and Sonam Kapoor.
Overcoats
Overcoats were like the second favourite thing of the Bollywood divas after chokers. Priyanka Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha and many others were seen sporting them. Promotions and airport lookbooks were dominated by this trend.
Pantsuits
Fashion became fluid this year. Pantsuits were a huge deal. Award shows, red carpet, parties, pantsuits found their way almost everywhere.
