Lakme Fashion Week 2016 Summer Resort: Frou Frou Presents 'A Petticoat'

It is a battle or is it romance between lace, crochet and tulle! Let's find out from the Petticoat collection designed by the label Frou Frou by designer Archana Rao. This collection is new and out of this world.

Ms Rao gives us an insight of the inner wear world which now can be redesigned for an outer wear. The 'Petticoat' collection featured on the ramp is inspired by the fictional character, Lolita.

It's a playful take on her fun, effortless, coming of age character. In terms of clothing the collection is deeply inspired by inner wear. The main idea is to make outer wear inspired by inner wear, states the talented designer, Archana Rao.

The models who are taking stride on the ramp are seen in summer hues where crochet and tulle overpower the ensemble. We also get to see stunning collars and lilies, which makes this collection drop dead girly and so very pretty.

On the other hand, the handmade rosettes add a dreamy element, thus making the entire collection so beautiful. In this line for the summer, you will also say hello to lace, pinstripe and polkas!

Lace & Bowed Ponchos

The underneath simple sky blue dress made us get the goosebumps. And, when the baby lace cream poncho covered the cool summer look, we simply went bonkers.

Pink Frills

The peplum top which featured pink frills and shoulder motiffs to match with a layered skirt, it was a look much deserving for the evening on day 1.

A Mango Brocade

The mango coloured pant and brocade crop top was way too sexy to look at. Thebourgenvilla tan shoes just added to the entire look.

Time To Get Ruffled

The peach coloured ruffled halter top complemented the mermaid white skirt.

Summer Lace & Stockings

The delicate lemon lace goes perfectly well with the mauve skirt. And, what is more interesting is the polka cute stocking matched beautifully with the tan broques.
