Sweetilicious: Corn & Aloo Dry Fry Recipe
This afternoon we are in the mood to eat something spicy at the same time sweet! Therefore, this yummy treat - corn with aloo.
The recipe is filled with chillies and the addition of sweet corn to the dish only cuts off the unwanted spice. To prepare this yummy vegetarian recipe, take a look below.
This aloo sweet corn recipe should be eaten along with a vegetarian pulav. Opting for roti would be a bad idea. So, what are you waiting for? Here is how you can add a touch of sweetness and a tad of chilli into your life.

Cooking Time: 20 minutes
All You Need
- Aloo - 1/2 kg (diced)
- Tomato - 1 (chopped)
- Onion - 1 (chopped)
- Sweet Corn - 4 tbsp (cleaned and peeled)
- Green Chilli - 2 (sliced)
- Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
- Water - 1 cup
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- In a pan add in the oil. When its hot, add the sliced green chillies. Fry them well and then add in the chopped onions.
- Give the ingredients a good stir and then add in the ginger and garlic paste. Allow it to cook for a while and then add in the turmeric and chilli powder. Give the ingredients a stir.
- Now to the pan add in the chopped tomatoes and allow it to cook for at least 5 minutes with a lid on.
- Remove the lid and add in the aloo. Pour in the water and allow it to cook for 9 minutes.
- Now when cooked add in the salt and the sweet corn.
- Let it cook in the steam for 5 minutes and then switch off.

Aloo is one of the best vegetables to enjoy if you consume it with the peel.
Tip
Wait for the water to dry completely while cooking the aloo as it is a dry recipe.
