Lemon Zest Gojju, Delicious South Indian Side Dish
Lemon juice is great for health but it is said that the lemon peels (lemon zest) are even healthier (said to cure skin cancer) so today we would want to share a simple lemon peel gojju recipe that is very tangy, tasty and spicy. Take a look at how to go about with the making of the lemon zest gojju recipe. This Gojju recipe is a good south Indian side dish for rice recipes like ghee rice and khara pongal.
Lemon Zest Gojju Recipe – South Indian Recipe
Ingredients:
1. 1 cup lemon zest
2. 1 tsp cumin seeds
3. 1 piece of Jaggery
4. Salt according to taste
5. 1 tsp chilli powder
6. 1 cup water
7. 1 tsp mustard seeds
8. Pinch of asafoetida
9. 1 tsp oil
Lemon Zest Gojju Preparation:
1. Fry mustard seeds and asafoetida in a teaspoon of oil.
2. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and grind it into thick paste. Add the fried mixture. Tasty lemon peel gojju is ready.
You can have the gojjus with hot chapathis and dosas.
