Ingredients

  • Paneer- 250 gms
  • Jeera seeds- 1tbsp
  • Red Chilli- 4
  • Urad dal- 1tbsp
  • Chilli powder- 1tsp
  • Curry Leaf- few
  • Onion- 1 (chopped)
  • Oil- 1tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Procedure

  1. You first need to add oil to a pressure cooker which is kept on a low flame.
  2. When the oil is hot, drop in the jeera seeds. Now saute the jeera seeds in the hot oil and allow them to splutter well.
  3. After a minute, add in the urad dhal, the red chilli and curry leaves. Now fry the ingredients well in the hot oil.
  4. Now add in the chopped onion. Fry the onions well in the oil till they turn golden brown in colour.
  5. Now add in the chilli powder and saute the mixture for about 3 minutes or so.
  6. Then, add in the paneer to the pan and fry it gently.
  7. Now add the salt and water. Cover the cooker with a light lid and let it cook in the steam for about 5 minutes or so.
  8. Now let the water in the paneer dry completely before turning the flame off.
