Peas Pulao: Indian Rice Recipe In Different Methods

Ingredients for Peas Pulao:
1. Peas (peeled or frozen ones) 50 grams
2. Basmati rice 250 grams
3. Ghee or Butter 25 grams
4. Dry friuts (Raisins and nuts) 50 grams
5. Onions 2 (thinly sliced)
6. Green Chillies 2 (sliced from the middle)
7. Sugar 1 teaspoon
8. Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Soak the rice in clean water and rinse many times.
- Fry the sliced onions crisply and keep aside
For Microwave:
- Take a heat-resistant bowl and mix the rice with the peas and butter or ghee.
- Microwave it for 5 mins without cover at 900
- After this add the dry fruits and microwave it for 3 minutes
- Add the green chillies and 3 cupsof water
- Add a hint of sugar and salt as per your taste.
- Now, cover and cook for 14 mintutes at 640.
- After you remove the bowl from the microwave, garnish it with the fried onions
For The Gas Burner
- Heat the butter or ghee in a pressure cooker.
- Add the dry fruits and peas and stir for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the rice, 3 cups of water, green chillies and 1 teaspoon of sugar
- Add salt as per your taste.
- Close the lid and wait for 2 whistles.
- Garnish with the fried onions.
This Indian rice recipe is an ideal accompaniment for many Indian Vegetarian recipes as well as non-vegetarian ones. Peas pulao goes very well with Dal Makhani and also with Gota Chicken. You can try this Indian rice recipe when you are pressed for time. So try it and earn laurels from your guests.
