Soaked Rice - 2 cups
Fresh green peas- 1 cup
Onions chopped lenghtwise - 3
For seasoning:
Ghee + Oil = 3 table spoons
Jeera - 1 spoon
Clove - 2
Ground to a paste:
1/2 coconut grated
Chopped and cleaned corriander - 1 bunch
Green chilles - depending on the level of hotness one wants
One onion
Ginger - 2 inches
Salt
Method:
Grind all the ingredients mentioned for a paste and keep aside. In a pan heat the ghee and oil. Add jeera and cloves.
Once they splutter add the slit onions and saute for a minute.Now, add the peas and fry for a while. Add the rice and the ground masala and saute for a minute more and transfer the ingredients from the pan to a rice cooker or pressure cooker and add water.
Serve hot with Raitha.
