Red Chili Mango Chutney For Sweet 'N' Sour Summer
Red Chili Mango Chutney Recipe -
Ingredients:
1. 1 green mango (peeled, grated)
2. 5-6 dried red chillies
3. 1 tsp onion paste
4. 1/2 tsp ginger paste
5. 1 tsp coriander seeds
6. 1 tsp urad dal
7. 1/2 cup coconut (dry, grated)
8. 2-3 curry leaves
9. 2 tsp tamarind juice or powder
10. 1 tsp dates syrup or mashed dates
11. Salt to taste
12. 2-3 tsps refined oil
13. 1 tsp mustard seeds
14. Pinch of Asafoetida
Method:
1. Fry coriander seeds, ural dal, curry leaves, chillies, ginger, onion, raw mango, coconut in oil for upto 2-3 minutes (fry in the same sequence)
2. In a mixer, add the above fried ingredients, tamarind juice, dates and salt and grind it into fine paste.
3. Season the red chili mango chutney with fried mustard and asafoetida. The red chili mango chutney recipe can be stored for atleast a month.
