Healthy Breakfast: Methi Paratha Recipe
Healthy food is now a priority in all our lives. None of us want to eat too much of unhealthy or fattening food stuffs. That is why we all make it a point to start our day with a healthy breakfast recipe.
The morning time is usually the busiest time of the day when you are in a hurry to reach your workplace. At that moment you need something quick and easy but healthy at the same time.

Keeping this in mind today we have a simple yet nutritious methi paratha recipe for you to try. It is light, easy, quick and the best healthy breakfast option. Methi is without doubt, one of the most nutritious greens to eat. Just keep the methi leaves ready a night before if you are planning to use fresh methi leaves. Otherwise this breakfast recipe can also be prepared with dried methi (fenugreek) leaves which is popularly known as Kasuri methi.

Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- Methi leaves (fresh or dried)- 1 cup
- Wheat flour- 1 1/2 cup
- Besan (gram flour)- 1/2 cup
- Salt- as per taste
- Ajwain (carrom seeds)- 1tsp
- Oil- 1tbsp
- Water- for kneading
- Oil- for frying
Procedure
1. If you are using kasuri methi (dry leaves) for the preparation then soak it in water for about 15 minutes before you knead it with the flour.
2. Mix the wheat flour, besan, methi leaves, salt, ajwain and one tablespoon of oil in a bowl. Knead it into a semi soft dough with water.
3. Make small balls out of the dough and roll out medium sized chapatis using what flour for dusting.
4. Heat a tawa and place the chapatis on it.
5. Pour a little oil on the tawa and fry it on both sides till it turns golden brown.
6. Repeat the steps to make more parathas.
Methi parathas are ready to be served. Enjoy this healthy breakfast delight with yogurt or chutney.
