'Broodpudding' – For A Sweet Tooth

If you have stale bread at home don't throw it away , make use of it to bake the great British specialty , “Bread Pudding".
Its very easy to make, all you need is:-
8 slices of bread
2 cups milk
50 grams butter
3 tablespoons sugar
' teaspoon vanilla essence
' cup chopped cashew nuts or walnuts
2 eggs beaten well.
You have to start by removing the crusts from the bread and break it into small pieces. Grease a baking dish and spread the pieces of bread in it . Mix the milk, beaten eggs , sugar , vanilla essence and butter together. This mix, pour on top of the bread that is placed in the dish, letting it soak nicely. Sprinkle the dried fruits on top of the dish. Oven cook it for about 20 to 30 minutes. If the oven is not available, you can steam the pudding for 30 minutes.
