Madhu Pushp: A Tasty Delight

- 300gms Maida/Flour
- A pinch of Salt
- 1 Cup Hot Milk
- ¾ Cup Sugar Powder
- 2tbsp Ghee
- 1tsp Cardamom powder
- A few drops of Elaichi powder
- Ghee or Oil for frying
METHOD :
Mix Salt in Maida and sieve it. Add Ghee and rub into the Maida. Add Sugar and Cardamom Powder in the milk. Mix well. Add Milk, little by little, to Maida and make tough dough. Cover it and leave it for 10minutes. Knead the dough well and make balls of different sizes, varying from the size of a pea grain to that of a walnut. Roll the large ball into a round puri, then smaller ones in a sequence. Smear the middle part of the large puri with sweet milk. Layer with smaller puri over it; smear it with milk and then layer next smaller puri over it. Repeat, till all sizes of puris are used up. Press the middle part with a thumb so that all of them stick together well. Give radial cuts on the corners with the help of a knife. Separate the "petals" gently with finger and lift the edges a little. The Madhu Pushps are ready.
Heat Oil and deep-fry each Madhu Pushps on low flame till they become crisp and serve.
