Easy Dark Chocolate Frosting For Cakes
We often master in cake preparation but icing (frosting) is always a problem. The easiest way to frost a cake is melt the ordinary chocolate bar (by placing it in a plate over boiling water) and mixing with salted butter. Beating the mixture for a few minutes will result in a satin texture that can be spread on the cake with a spatula. We have one more frosting recipe, and that is, the healthy dark chocolate frosting which is more royal and serves the purpose in the last minute thanksgiving preparation. Take a look as it will also help you during Christmas.
Frosting Recipe For Cakes

Dark Chocolate Frosting Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup + a teaspoon more of unsweetened dutch-process cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup + a tablespoon more of boiling water (in equal proportion with cocoa)
- 4 1/2 slices unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar (well sifted)
- A pinch of salt
- 700 grams of best-quality semisweet chocolate (cadbury) melted and brought to room temperature
Directions:
- Add cocoa powder to the boiling water and stir until the mixture blends thoroughly.
- In an electric mixer, add butter, sugar and salt. Blend well in medium speed or until the mixture is fluffy.
- Add the semisweet chocolate to the mixture and beat well.
- Also combine the cocoa mixture and continue beating until the mixture becomes as smooth as satin. Your dark chocolate frosting is ready.
The dark chocolate frosting goes well with different types of chocolate cake recipes. Sprinkling the nutmeg powder over the icing will add to the taste.
