Shankarpali Recipe From Leftover Chapati Dough

Do not waste the leftover chapati dough but use it to make the delicious shankarpali, the popular deep fried snack of Karnataka. Add a little rice flour, Pinch of baking soda to the chapati dough and the shankarpali dough is ready. Simply fry and your crunchy picnic snack is ready to serve. Shankarpali Recipe From Leftover Chapati Dough (Leftover Recipe) -
Ingredients:
- ' cup rice flour
- Pinch of baking soda
- 2 tsps cumin seeds
- Pinch of ajwain (carom seeds)
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- Oil for frying
Preparation:
- Add all the above ingredients to the leftover dough (except oil). Mix well
- Heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add a big teaspoon to the mixture and knead well.
- Spread the dough and using a knife, cut into small squares and deep fry in oil.
Tasty Shankarpali is ready.
