Khandvi: A Mouth Watering Snack
Khandvi is a very popular gujarati food. This mouth watering Indian snack has a very traditional flavour and taste. This is a low calorie recipe and is very easy to prepare. Indian snacks are known for their distinct flavour and spicy contents. This is not a very spicy snack and kids also can readily consume it. Khandvi is a very healthy recipe and is prepared in breakfast in many houses. This healthy Indian snack has a blend of various spices and is very easy to make.

Ingredients
½ Cup Gram Flour(besan)
½ Cup Thin Butter Milk
Salt To Taste
2-3 Pinches Turmeric Powder
1 tsp oil
For Seasoning
2 tsp Oil
1 tsp Sesame Seeds And Cumin
½ tsp Mustard Seed
1 tbsp Coconut Scraped
1 tspb Coriander Finely Chopped
2 Green Chillies and Asefoetida (hing)
1 Stalk Curry Leaves
Directions To Prepare
- Mix flour, water and turmeric to make a batter. Heat oil in a pan and add the khandvi batter you've prepared to it.
- Stir evenly to prevent lump formation. Cook till the mixture does not remain raw. Stir continuously to avoid lumps and after about 6-8 minutes pour the batter on a plate.
- Spread the batter evenly and make a thin layer on the plate. Use flat spoons and move in circular directions so that it is evenly spread.
- When the batter cools down cut it into wide strips. Roll those stripes and repeat it for the entire mixture.
- Place it in a serving dish and garnish it with coriander and coconut all over.
- Then heat oil in a pan and add cumin, asefoetida, curry leaves and chillies.
- Also add sesame seeds to the oil and pour it over to your khandvi rolls.
Serve khandvi hot and with chutney(garlic, mint leaves)
