Easy Homemade Bhel Puri Recipe With Video
Bhel puri is a quintessential Indian snack. We all have had bhel puri at the street vendor stalls. However, we have become hygiene conscious now and sometimes, we are compelled to tell our children that the bhel puri recipe we try at home tastes better.
The fact is that the bhel puri recipe made at home is healthier because you make it hygienically. In fact, the Indian snack bhel puri has a very simple recipe. In this bhel puri recipe video, a steel lunch box has been used to prepare this chaat recipe. There are several other methods to make bhel puri. But we will be using the lunch box method effectively to prepare bhel puri at home.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- Puffed rice- 1 bowl
- Sev- 1 bowl (without peanuts)
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Tomato- ½ (chopped)
- Coriander leaves- 2 stalks (chopped)
- Chilli tomato sauce- 1tbsp
- Chaat masala- 1tsp
- Black salt- as per taste
Procedure
- Take a steel lunch box that has a well fitting lid.
- Open the lid and place some chopped onions in it.
- Now add tomatoes and chopped coriander leaves.
- Add the sev and puffed rice next.
- Season the dish with chaat masala and black salt.
- Pour 1tbsp of tomato ketchup into the box.
- You can also add some chopped green chillies if you like.
- Close the lid of the lunch box and shake it up vigorously.
- You can shake it really well as the lid is quite tight.
- Open the lid of the lunch box and you have bhel puri ready.
- You can either serve it in small bowls to your kids or pack it as a picnic snack for them.
