Stuffed Mushroom Recipe
Mushroom is a delicious food that can be used to prepare several appetizers is the most popular appetizer that can be prepared with many ingredients. You can either make it simple by just adding cheese or go creative by stuffing the mushrooms with sausage or meat.
The best part of stuffed mushroom is that it is very easy to prepare. It can be the best appetizer dish for a party or an evening get together. The stuffed mushrooms are filling and delicious too. Stuffed mushroom recipe:
Serves: 10 stuffed mushrooms
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Fresh cremini or button mushrooms- 10
- Onion- 2 (finely chopped)
- Red peppers- 1 (finely chopped)
- Green chilli- 2 (finely chopped)
- Garlic- 1 pod (minced)
- Dried thyme- 1tsp
- Parmesan cheese- 2tbsp (grated)
- Italian seasoning- 1tsp
- Butter- 2tbsp
Procedure
- Heat the oven to 400 F.
- Wash and clean the mushrooms. Remove the stems from the cap of each mushroom.
- Finely chop the stems to fill at least half cup.
- Heat a skillet on a medium flame. Melt the butter and cook the chopped stems. After 1 minute add the chopped onions, red peppers and cook on a medium flame till it becomes tender.
- Add the dried thyme, garlic, green chilli, Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese. Cook the stuffing mix for another 2 minutes and then put the skillet off flame.
- Stuff the mushrooms with the stuffing mix. Gently place them on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Serve the cheesy stuffed mushroom. This classic appetizer can be perfect for a party or can be served as an evening snack.
