Baked Potato Wedges To Snack Healthy
You will hardly find any person who does not like to munch on some crisp potato wedges. But the fact is that potato wedges are usually deep fried and extremely unhealthy. The excess oil from the deep fried potato wedges is not at all healthy for your heart and it is extremely fattening too. But if you want, you can convert the potato wedges recipe into a healthy snack.
All you need is a baked potato wedges recipe. Instead of frying the potatoes in gallons of oil, you can easily bake them in the micro-oven. Trying the baked potato wedges recipe would mean using minimal oil and yet you get a crispy evening snack on your plate. Not such a bad deal, is it? All you need to try this baked evening snack is a microwave and the ingredients all remain the same.

Serves: 2
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- Potatoes- 4
- Olive Oil- 1tbsp
- Garlic powder- 1tsp
- Coriander leaves- 1 stalk (chopped)
- Mint leaves- 4 (chopped)
- Oregano- 1/2 tsp
- Salt- as per taste
Procedure
- Cut the potato into wedges. You basically need to cut the potato into half and then slice the halves into thick pieces.
- Do not peel off of the potatoes because potato wedges taste better with the skin.
- Now sprinkle salt on the potato wedges and keep them aside for 10 minutes.
- Pre-heat the microwave to 250 degrees while the potatoes absorb the salt.
- Then drizzle olive oil on the potato wedges.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, coriander and mint leaves on the potato wedges.
- Now mix the potato wedges and the spices by shaking up the container or using your fingers.
- Take a baking dish and place the potato wedges on it leaving some space among them.
- Now place this baking dish inside the pre-heated microwave.
- Grill the potatoes at 40 percent powder for 8 to 10 minutes. Keep turning the potato wedges over so that all sides are evenly cooked.
