Methi Prawns Recipe: A Desi Delight!
Prawns are an irresistible seafood. There are so many different recipes which you can try with this delicious seafood item. In most of the prawn curry recipes the prawn is cooked with coconut milk and many other spices. Talking of curries, prawns taste simply divine in green curry. The Thai green curry is one example.
But here is a simple and desi green curry recipe for prawns which is sure to tickle your taste-buds. Methi prawns recipe is a quick and delicious dish. Methi prawns recipe is prepared with the dried fenugreek leaves and very little spices and yet the taste is simply delicious. You have to taste it to believe it.
So, try out this interesting methi prawns recipe. This desi treat will definitely take you by a surprise.

Ingredients
- Prawns- 250gms
- Oil- 1tbsp
- Onions- 3 (finely chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste- 1tbsp
- Turmeric powder- ½ tsp
- Chilli powder- 1tsp
- Kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves)- 1tbsp
- Fresh coriander leaves- 2tsp (chopped)
- Salt-as per taste
- Water- ½ cup
Procedure
- Clean and wash the prawns properly.
- Heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and fry on medium flame till they turn golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes.
- Now add the prawns and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Then add chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and fry for a minute.
- Add water, cover and cook for about 5-6 minutes on low flame.
- After that, remove the cover and add the dry fenugreek leaves.
- Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes till the prawns are completely cooked.
- Once done, switch off the flame, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve.
