Dum posto is a special recipe from my mom's kitchen. She prepares this on special occasions. This recipe is made with posto or poppy seeds which taste extremely delicious. Posto is used in generous amount in this dish since we Bengalis are very fond of this ingredient. In this recipe the poppy seeds are first made into delicious koftas and then cooked in a thick spicy gravy.
