Deepika Padukone Delights In Sabyasachi Saree
Deepika Padukone has been very busy promoting two of her movies, namely 'Finding Fanny' and 'Happy New Year', at once. She has given us a number of interesting looks this season. We have seen her in casuals, suits and also a gorgeous Nikasha saree. However, we were yet to see Deepika Padukone in a Sabyasachi saree. So finally, we have had our wish.

This drape is from Sabyasachi's latest 'Firozabad' collection that was displayed at ICW 2014. The sheer nude colour of the saree and the floral patterns underneath it are easily recognisable. We have seen Deepika Padukone in Sabyasachi sarees before. However, this look was really not our piece of cake. The dull colour did not suit the leggy actress and the saree was not well defined either.

Deepika Padukone went for the standard saree blouse design for this ensemble. She wore a full-sleeved and closed neck blouse with this saree that is very typical for Sabyasachi drapes. However, in this case, she would have been better off trying something different with this sheer drape. The heavily embellished and full-sleeved blouse made the ensemble look a bit top heavy.

Deepika pulled her hair back into a neat bun and did tasteful makeup. She used minimal eye makeup and painted her lips a light tint of coral. Tiny diamond studs in her ears was the only jewellery she decided to wear. She wore flat footwear as usual with the saree. But there was still something not quite right about Deepika Padukone's look at the music launch of 'Happy New Year'.
