Deepika Padukone has been absent from the promotions and media events scene for a very long time. She was busy with shootings and romantic vacations so we could not get a glimpse of her fashion statement for a long time. But now the leggie actress is back with a bang. First she was seen at the song launch of her upcoming movie Finding Fanny. Now we have spotted Deepika Padukone in a saree at the trailer launch of Happy New Year.

Deepika Padukone was in a Manish Malhotra saree for the event. She looked dashing in a coral coloured saree that was draped over a mirrored blouse. The saree was more or less plain but had a shimmering finish. We have seen Deepika Padukone in a saree after a very long gap of time and it just reminded us how elegant she looks in these classy drapes.

At the previous media event for Finding Fanny, Deepika looked underdressed. She was in a minidress from Forever 21 and her hair was not styled properly. But At the trailer launch of Happy New Year, Deepika Padukone was decked up in a saree from Manish Malhotra's collection. Fashion hardly gets better than that.

The event began with a fashion show organized to showcase designer Manish Malhotra's outfits. In this show, the stars of the movie Happy New Year walked as showstoppers. As the the movie is a multi-starrer, we had Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Deepika Padukone walk the ramp.
