Rina Dhaka's collection was showcased on Day 2 of the Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2013. And it was 'bridal' in the truest sense. While other designers have opted for themes that were based on fusion, Rina Dhaka chose a very Indian theme. Her collection for the Indian Bridal Fashion Week was totally based on mirror work.

In native terms, we call this kind of mirror work as, 'Bandhini'. This style is very popular in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Rina Dhaka's designs were contemporary and yet, the art was ancient. That is what lend a beautiful blend of culture and modernity to this collection. Apart from some intricate mirror work, Rina Dhaka also used typically Indian frills and thick thread embroidery to enhance her collection.

Rina Dhaka's show stopper for the Day 2 of Indian Bridal Fashion Week 2013 was Sophie Choudhury. Her outfit was simply out of the world. She wore a multi-coloured strapless bandhani choli. The lehenga was parrot green with orange embroidery.

Golden Churidar Kameez

The speciality of this churidar kameez is obviously the frills. The entire outfit is matte gold in colour with slight shade variations. Though we have hardly seen anyone wearing it, but full points are given for imagination.

Raised Egyptian Hairstyle

This kind of a high pony harks back to the Egyptian civilisation. The solid gold crown-like tiara helps to give the look of an aesthetic appeal.

Orange Lace Lehenga

In stark contrast to the previous ensemble, we have this traditional Indian lehenga choli. The neckline of the choli is done in transparent lace. The jewellery and hairdo is inspired by the Mughal style.

Golden Lehenga Choli

Matte gold has been an underlying theme in Rina Dhaka's collection. This lace lehenga choli looks pretty traditional. The Egyptian hairstyle however lends it a global edge.

Orange n Pink Palazzo Pants

It is tough to call this outfit a sharara though it seems inspired by a sharara. A more accurate description will be to call it palazzo pants. The top is shimmering golden lace with an antique gold collar.

Orange n Pink Monochrome

This top has the most intricate lace work around the neck. The rest of the kurta is a monochrome pattern of orange and pink.

Pale Blue Sharara

Unlike the previous outfit, this one is definitely a sharara. The base colour is off-white. There are layers of lace on it that have pale blue embellishments.

Sheer Pink Churidar Kameez

The kurta is made of sheer bright pink lace. But the interesting part of the outfit is the churidar. It has purple, orange and nude checkered pattern.

Belted Sharara

We see another innovation with the sharara in this collection. This pale purple kurta is worn with a metallic belt over the violet sharara. The sleeves have extensive use of frills.

Orange n Gold Gown

This outfit has a striking monochrome pattern of orange and shimmering matte gold. The full-sleeved gown is tight till the upper thigh and opens up into a lace skirt there after.

Orange Sharara

Rina Dhaka's collection is full of fiery flame colours. This is one of the prettiest outfits of the collection in orange, gold and violent hues. The collar on the polo neck is raises and the neckline up till sleeves is transparent lace.

Mirror Work Lehenga

This multi-coloured lehenga has shades of yellow, orange, red and pink. Apart from that, it has mirror and sequin work along with a frilly lace drape.

Yellow Frilled Saree

This bright yellow saree is a bonanza of sequins. Apart from that, the border is done up with frills. That gives this saree a very retro look.

Yellow Frilled Lehenga

The lehenga and choli has a plethora of colours all set within a yellow base. The dupatta of the outfit is bright sunflower yellow with a frilly border.

Sequined White n Pink Saree

This white saree is covered with tiny golden sequins. Its the borders that have pretty pink frills.

Yellow Thread Work

This off-white saree has orange details. The sequined orange blouse sets off the saree brilliantly. But the main highlight of this saree is the knotted yellow thread work on the border.

Rainbow Choli n Purple Border

There are two important features to note in this outfit. The tube choli has all the colour bands of the rainbow. The lehenga and drape has a thick purple border.

Orange Sequined Outfit

This outfit is a bright flame orange keeping with the colour scheme of the collection. The sequined work on this outfit sets it aflame.

Yellow n Orange Lehenga

The orange floral embroidery on the choli is just outstanding. But the outfit gets its main brownie points from the blazing yellow drape that has pink frills.

Prateik Babbar In Black Sherwani

Actor Prateik Babbar carried the mantle of men's wear in Rina Dhaka's collection. He wore a black velvet closed neck sherwani. The golden work on the shoulders would make any groom proud.

Soplie Choudhury In Bandhini Lehenga

The best outfit in the collection was worn by show-stopper Sophie Choudhury. She looked demure in a tube choli with mirror work. The drape was pale gold in colour and adorned with sequins. But the parrot green lehenga embroidered with orange has the maximum visual impact.
