IBFW 2013: Falguni and Shane Peacock
Ace designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock showcased a breathtaking collection at Aamby Valley Bridal Fashion Week 2013 ramp. The designers came forward with some unique designs which were both traditional and contemporary. From lehengas to mermaid gowns, Falguni and Shane Peacock's collection is always a treat to the eyes.
Falguni and Shane Peacock used lace, sheer, and heavy embroidery in their bridal collection which brought a charm on the ramp of IBFW 2013. Glittering gold and shimmer looked perfect for the bridal mood. Models added charm on the ramp in bright colours. Golden, coral, peach, pink, black and red were some of the vital colours used by the designers in their collection.
Lehengas were seen in a lot of collections in the 3 days of IBFW. As it is Bridal Fashion Week, Falguni and Shane Peacock also showcased some traditional lehengas. However, mermaid gowns with heavy sequin work dazzled on the ramp. We even saw intricate lace and thread work with colourful stones and beads which was perfect for the festive season. Some of the gowns also had a small dupatta attached which gave the illusion of a fish-cut lehenga gown.
However, we even saw some of the outfits that were shown by Falguni and Shane Peacock at IBFW 2013 in Delhi some time back. Those large metallic obi belt, sequinned creamy gowns and red lehengas were repeated on the ramp, though this time in Mumbai.
Evelyn Sharma was the cutie showstopper for Falguni and Shane Peacock. In Delhi show, Neha Dhupia walked the ramp for the designer duo. Here is a preview of Falguni and Shane Peacock's Collection shown at India Bridal Fashion Week 2013, Mumbai.
IBFW 2013: Falguni and Shane Peacock's Collection
Red Lehenga
This heavily embroidered traditional red bridal lehenga has mirror work on it. The strapless bodice also has hues of lace. The lehenga has been heavily embroidered with red motifs and golden and mirror work. It was also shown in IBFW Delhi show.
Golden Lehenga
The cream coloured lehenga has heavy golden embroidery and floral motifs at the bottom. It has been worn with a peach coloured net dupatta.
Red & Golden Lehenga
The vermilion red coloured lehenga has heavy golden embroidery. It has been worn with a bandhgala blouse and golden jewellery.
Red Lace Lehenga
This is another bridal outfit which is in the traditional colour, red. It has lace work on the skirt and golden embroidery.
Sequinned Gowns
Strapless sequinned gowns were worn by models which looked fashionable. The metallic obi belt were repeated though!
Sequinned Pink and Silver Gown
The model wore a sequinned pink mermaid gown which has silver sequin work on the bodice and bottom. The specialty of this lace gown is, it has a pallu attached on the shoulders. This outfit was even showcased at the IBFW 2013 Delhi ramp by the designer duo.
Lace Gown
The creamy mud coloured gown has heavy lace embroidery all over it. Hues of colourful floral motifs are also seen on the sheer bodice which looks chic.
Sequinned Gown
The metallic beaded sequinned mermaid gown looks gorgeous. It is sheer on the shoulders, and has been worn with a metallic obi belt.
Black Anarkali
It is a unique anarkali which has heavy frills and a high low hemline. It has also been worn with a bandhgala heavily embroidered jacket.
Lace Anarkali
The creamy white coloured anarkali had heavy lace details on the bodice. The attractive feature of this anarkali is the high low hemline frilly bottom which has golden piping on it.
Coral Anarkali
The coral coloured anarkali looks like a gown. It has net, frills and sequin work in golden.
Cream Saree
The cream coloured saree has golden embroidery work on the borders and bottom. The net saree also has mirror work and hues of pink which looks classy.
Peach Lace Saree
The peach coloured saree has golden thread work and lace details on it. It is also in net and has golden borders.
Evelyn Sharma
Cute Evelyn Sharma walked the runway for her favourite designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock at IBFW 2013 in Mumbai. She looked breathtaking in a golden lehenga which had heavy red embellishments and embroidery work all over it. The floral tiara looked chic.
