Khadi Wears – Fashion Trend This Summer

Handloom wholesaler-retailer Khadi Mandir reportedly is producing is producing khadi goods in far greater supply than last year owing to the high demand.
Khadi now being taken up as a fashion trend, is being suppied in lot of varieties such as Khadi silk, Khadi wool and Khadi cotton. Sporting a sleveless Khadi kurti on a denim jeans, is the new trend of casual wear.
Not only kurties, Khadi is now being made into designer sarees, trendy caps and harem pants.
"I make shirts of Khadi…then I make dresses, so whenever I used to be invited or go out to any parties…if I go internationally also, for some seminars, 99 percent of the time I wear khadi. That time they say…it is looking nice because khadi is a soothing fabric," said Mita Manglani, owner of Nautanki, a boutique specializing in Khadi-wear.
Manglani revealed that the increased popularity of khadi is also a result of creating stylish and brightly-coloured clothes from the fabric.
Earlier, Khadi fabric was dyed solely in earthy colours but now the modern time designers are dyeing it in striking colours like lime green, violet, baby pink, turquoise blue and many more.
The trend of Khadi wears is not only limited to India alone. The designer wears made of this fabric has been internationally acclaimed. Khadi wears are also being flaunted by models in fashion shows.
