Using serums for the face is the all new rage. Serums are mostly a blend of various oils to make one great product. Earlier, people were mostly scared of using serums for the face because it is supposed common knowledge that oils cause breakouts. This is not true.
There are several face serums available in the market but they are mostly really expensive. So wouldn't it be great to know how to make a DIY face serum at home? The ingredients, that is rosehip oil and vitamin E, are very safe to use and are easily available too. This formula makes it exceptionally good for ageing skin.
A lot of people are skeptical about using oils on the face thinking that since the face already produces oils on its own, it would make the face look greasy. This is not at all true! In fact, face oils, if used correctly, in the correct proportions, are actually better than face creams and lotions.
Face oils provide deeper moisturisation than creams. This moisture stays on for longer periods of time. This DIY rosehip oil and vitamin E face serum would just be soaked up by your skin and not leave any oily residue.
It is suggested to use a face oil before sleeping, as a part of your night time ritual. This ensures that you wake up with a smooth, supple and hydrated skin. You would literally be able to feel the softness in your skin when you wake up. Basically, what it does is repair your skin overnight.
So, here's how you can make your very own DIY face serum with rosehip oil and vitamin E for ageing skin!
Vitamin E capsules
Lavender essential oil
Glass bottle with dropper
Mix two tablespoons of rosehip oil into four tablespoons of jojoba oil. Pierce one vitamin E capsule using a safety pin and squeeze out the liquid from it into the oil mixture. Add around 6 drops of lavender essential oil to the mix.
Store the oils in a glass bottle with a dropper. Your DIY face serum for ageing skin is ready for use. And all you need to do is use a single drop of it all over your face every night. And trust us, one single drop would be enough to cover your entire face.
Rosehip oil is amazing for it's ability to hydrate dry and ageing skin without making it greasy. Your skin would drink up the oil. It is high in fatty acids and well known for it's ability to regenerate dry, ageing skin. It smoothens out fine lines and even calms the skin down.
