Summer Tips For Swimmers
During summer, one of the most enjoyable and pleasant activity would be swimming. That is why all of us love it so much!
But have you ever wondered how to protect your hair as well as your skin when you set out to the swimming pool that too in the hot climate?
Well, there are certain skin care tips for swimmers. It is important to first prepare your skin before you set out to expose it to the hot and frying weather.
Do This To Rejuvenate Your Skin
Do you know the fact that it is better to take a bath before you go to the swimming pool? Well, doing this will protect the outer layer of your skin.
Also, if you wish to protect your hair, you can apply coconut oil to your hair before you head to the swimming pool.
These are just a few tips and there are more to know. Let us discuss about more in this post.

Sensitive Skin
This is one of the skin care tips before swimming. Use a lotion that neutralises chlorine. Apply the lotion on your body when you go for a shower before the swim. If your skin is sensitive to the chlorine content of the pool, you can prevent irritation by following this tip.

Petroleum Jelly
If your skin suffers chaffing issues, you can apply petroleum jelly on those areas before you go for the swim.

Shower Again
Soon after your swimming is over, ensure that you wash yourself thoroughly with clean water in order to wash the chlorine content from your body. Showers are part of skin care before and after swimming. Chlorine would irritate your skin if you don't wash it away.

Coconut Oil
Another remedy to avoid irritation due to chlorinated water is applying coconut oil to your skin before you go for swimming.

Clothes
Soon after you come out of the water, it is good to wear comforting cotton clothes instead of other materials that irritate your skin.

Sunscreen
Don't forget to apply sunscreen especially when you are going out to swim in the summer. This is part of skin care for swimmers.

Moisturiser
Apply a moisturiser soon after you wash yourself in clean water after your swim. This helps hydrate your skin and make it softer after the swim.
