1.The first sunscreen rule is to check the SPF. According to Spencer, sunscreen SPF 15 blocks the UV and UVB rays upto 94% and SPF 30 blocks the UV and UVB rays upto 98%. According to dermatologists, the best sunscreen is with SPF 30.

2.The second best way to use sunscreen is to apply it after every four hours. Before reapplying it make sure you wash your face thoroughly.

3.The best sunscreen is the one which provides protection from UV as well as UVB rays. For summers it is best to buy waterproof or sweat-proof lotions. This allows the lotion to stick on for longer time.

4.After applying the lotion, get exposed to sun only after 20 minutes. The lotions starts working only after 20 minutes of application.

5.To make the lotion last longer on your skin, before moving out in sun pat some talcum powder.

6.Another sunscreen rule is to make it your daily routine. Wear it on all the time even when you are home. As not only the direct sun but also the heat can make one tan in summers.
