How To Take Care Of Rebonded Hair?
Many people rebond their hair as this can make the texture of the hair smooth and soft. So what exactly is rebonding? Rebonding is the process of breaking down the bonds that help in giving the structure to your hair, that is, curly, wavy or straight. In short, it helps in altering and rebuilding the structure of your hair.
The process of hair rebonding involves the application of a relaxant that helps in breaking down the bonds that make the structure of your hair. The next step is straightening the hair and finally applying a neutralizer that helps in rebuilding the structure of the hair.

Once the rebonding is done it is equally important to take care of it. Below are some tips that you can follow if you just got your hair rebonded.
Do Not Wash Your Hair Soon
This is one important tip to keep in mind if you just got your hair rebonded. Do not wash your hair for the next 72 hours. It almost takes 3 days for your hair to settle down to its new structure and wetting your hair before that could ruin all your effort and money spent on rebonding your hair.
Do Not Tie Your Hair
Tying your hair or tucking it behind your ears after rebonding is a complete no-no. You need to keep your hair open until your hair is used to its new structure. Also, remember to leave your hair open even when you go to sleep every day for the next 3 days.
Condition Your Hair Properly
When you wash your hair after three days, remember to use a mild and sulfate free shampoo. Also, make sure that you use shampoo and conditioner that are specially formulated for chemically treated hair. After washing your hair with shampoo, apply some conditioner and gently massage your hair with your fingertips for a few minutes. Wait for about 15-20 minutes so that your hair absorbs the conditioner well.
Avoid Using Heating Products
Already your hair has undergone a lot of heating process while rebonding. Using heating products on your hair can only damage your hair further. If you think that you need to blow dry your hair make sure that you use it on a cool setting.
Wash Your Hair In Cold Water
If you are someone who uses hot water to wash your hair then it's probably time for you to stop it. Washing your hair in cold water helps in locking the moisture of your hair and prevents damage of the hair. If it is necessary you can use lukewarm water instead of cold water to wash your hair.
Keep Your Scalp Clean And Healthy
Just like the way you take care of your hair, it is also important to keep your scalp healthy and clean. Clogged follicles and unhealthy scalp can lead to other hair issues like dandruff and dry scalp. In order to avoid this, you can do hot oil massages and wash your hair with mild shampoos.
