This scrub would be just the right kind of pick-me-up. This scrub should only be used on the body. So, keep reading to find out how to make the scrub, here!

Ingredients:
1 cup of granulated sugar
½ lemon zest
1 spoon of lemon juice
Lemon essential oil
Mint essential oil
Olive/almond oil

Method:
Grate the lemon peel from a lemon. This is the lemon zest. In a bowl, mix the lemon zest with the granulated sugar. Add the lemon juice and mix.
Add five drops each of the lemon oil and peppermint oil. Then, to create the right texture for the scrub and to add moisture, add almond or olive oil as required.
Apply it all over your body and rub in gentle circular motions. Do this for the entire body, right before you shower.
This can be done once every week. Don't exfoliate too much though, as it could strip the skin of its natural oils.

The lemon juice along with granulated sugar would help get rid of all the dry, dead skin.
The olive or almond oil ensures that the scrub isn't too harsh and it also provides moisturisation.
The lemon and peppermint oils add a very uplifting fragrance to the scrub. The minty citrus smell is great for those days when you just need a perfect pick-me-up.
One of the best things about DIY scrubs is that you can make them using any essential oil you like, to give way to lots of fun fragrances! Do try this out and enjoy your homemade scrub!
