Rosewater and Glycerine

Mix equal amount of gylcerine and rosewater. Squeeze a lemon into the mixture. Keep the solution aside. Now mix salt, lemon juice in a warm water and soak your feet in it. After 15 to 20 minutes, scrub the cracked heels with a pumice stone. Pat dry and apply the rosewater and glycerine mixture on your feet giving special attention to the cracked heels. Do this every night before going to bed until the heels are cured.


Vegetable Oil Massage

Cracked heels are result of dry skin. Massage your feet with vegetable oils such as olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil or sesame oil. Wear a pair of socks and leave it overnight. This is an ayurvedic home remedy for cracked heels. Crush neem leaves and form a paste by adding water. Add turmeric powder to the paste and leave it on the cracked heels for 30 minutes. Wash it away with water. Both neem and turmeric have anti-bacterial properties. It speeds up the healing process of the skin. Use this remedy once daily. However, if the conditions of your heels are really bad, do it twice a day.


Rice Flour, Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey

Make your own foot scrub with rice flour, apple cider vinegar and honey. Take 2-3 tablespoon of rice and grind it. Add few spoons of honey and apple cider vinegar to the flour to form a thick paste. In case you have deep cracks, add a spoon of olive oil or sweet almond oil. Soak your feet for around 20 minutes in warm water and then massage with this paste. This scrub will repair the cracked heels and make them soft and smooth. This is one of the best home remedies for cracked heels.


Fruit Pack

Banana is a natural moisturiser and makes skin soft. To cure cracked heels, mash a banana and add 2 teaspoons of olive oil. Apply this pack on your heels and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wash it away. This is one of the easiest cracked heels solution.


Vinegar Foot Soak

White vinegar is rich in acetic acid. It helps soften the skin by gently exfoliating it. For cracked heels, put ¼ cup of vinegar in warm water. Add a splash of any vegetable oil in it and soak your feet for 10 minutes. With help of a pumice stone, scrub cracked areas on feet and pat dry. Apply a thick moisturiser.


Oatmeal and Jojoba Oil

Take 1 tablespoon of powdered oatmeal and some jojoba oil to make a thick paste. Apply the mixture over your cracked heels and leave it on for 30 minutes. Wash it with cold water and pat dry.


Tulsi and Aloe Vera

Tulsi has antimicrobial properties and is good on cracked heels. Crush tulsi leaves and add little water to make paste. Mix turmeric tulsi paste with camphor powder and aloe vera gel. Apply this mixture on
cracked heels and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. Do this daily to cure cracked heels. This is one of the effective home remedies for cracked heels.



Mix one cup of honey to half a bucket of warm water. Soak your feet for about 15-20 minutes. Scrub the cracked heels gently with pumice stone or foot scrubber.


Lemon Juice and Papaya

Lemon juice removes dead skin cells because of its rich acetic acid content. Mash papaya and add some lemon juice to make paste. Apply this mask on your heels and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes to soften the skin. This is one of the best ways to get rid of cracked heels.
