5 Easy Steps To Do French Manicure At Home
French manicure has caught the fancy of many women as it is considered to be the most graceful style of getting your nails done. Likewise
getting French manicure done at salons could prove to be expensive. It is much easier to get a perfect manicure done by yourself at home.
Getting French manicure at home is considered to be hygiene, and this not only saves money but also time.
Tools needed for a French manicure:
White nail polish
Sheer pale pink polish
Clear top coat
Small paint brush
Cuticle tool
Moisturiser/hand lotion
Nail filer

5 easy steps to get a French manicure at home:
Step one- Clean your hands
The basic step of manicure starts with cleaning your hands and ensuring that all the dirt around the nails and between the cuticles are gone.
File your nails gently as it gives a classy and gives a perfect look. Remove the dead nails with cuticle clippers and push the cuticles back gently.
Step two- Moisturise your nails
This is the most basic step that is needed to be done after scrubbing and cleaning your hands as this leaves your skin dry. In order to make the nails look soft and smooth, moisturising the nails is extremely important.
Step three- Get your nails painted
Once you are done filing your nails to the perfect oval shape, apply a nail enamel or shellac nail colour on your entire nails. This nail colour acts like a base coat. Let it dry for few minutes. It is advisable to keep the base coat thin and even for a glossy look. Petroleum jelly can be applied on the nails to retain the moisture.
Step four- Apply white colour on nail tips
This is the most important and trickiest part of a French manicure. Paint the upper tip of your nail with 2 coats of white nail polish so that it appears thicker. This white nail polish should be applied with more ease to keep the width of the colour on the nail tip consistent.
Step five -Touch up
Give a final touch to your French manicure by applying transparent coat of polish on all the nails. This increases the glossy look on the nails. This not only gives a shinny look to your nails but also keeps the manicure fresh for longer by protecting it. If you want to retain the look of the French manicure a little longer, then re-apply the touch up every night.
Although French manicure seems to be complicated when compared to other types of manicure, it has its own beauty as it gives a finished look to your style. Your nails looks pretty, clean and suitable for all occasions.
