[3] Polygonatum, also known as Solomon's seal or King Solomon's seal, is a herb that is native to North America. This genus of flowering plants has 74 species and hybrids. Many species of this plant have been traditionally used in Chinese medicines. Leaves, stems and rhizomes of Solomon's seal are used raw or cooked and served as a side dish in China. Apart from using the rhizomes in tea, the Chinese people also soak them in wine or liquor for flavouring. The healing properties of this magical herb make it extremely beneficial for many ailments. Apart from health benefits, it has long been used in curing a plethora of skin and hair issues.

From injuries to gastrointestinal inflammation, this herb has been used to cure many major conditions. It is consumed as a herbal tincture, a salve, a tea drink or a supplement in pill form.

Precautions

Ingredients:
- 300 ml water
- ½ teaspoon of ground dried root kernels of Solomon's seal
Method:
- Boil the water.
- Add the kernels to the boiled water.
- Wait for the kernels to puff up and sink.
- Sip it slowly, you can also chew on the soft nuggets [4] .
