Food To Avoid In Second Month of Pregnancy
The second month of pregnancy will have the same symptoms which is similar to the previous month. During this month, you will not only feel the joy of motherhood but it will also include symptoms of dizziness, frequent urination, fatigue and not to forget mood swings. Though you may have a variety of food cravings, there will be a list of foods you will no longer enjoy during the second month of pregnancy.
During this time of pregnancy, the cells in the ovary will continue to produce progesterone, a hormone which is important to maintain a healthy pregnancy period. The amount of blood circulating in the body will amplify and thus the mother-to-be will feel warmer than usual days. You will also notice your abdomen beginning to swell which is an awaited joy for the mother.
The mother to be can also feel her unborn child gently moving inside the warmth of her womb during the second month of pregnancy.
So, in order to have a safe delivery, you should have plenty of rest and most importantly consume the right type of foods.
Here is a list of food to avoid during second month of pregnancy. As not all foods are safe to eat during this period.

Meat Spread
This is one of the main types of food to avoid during pregnancy especially during the second month. Meat spread contains Listeria which is bad for the baby's growth during this period.

Soft cheese
Camembert, Roquefort, Brie are some of the soft types of cheese. These cheeses consist of E coli which is bad during the second month of pregnancy.

Liver
Some pregnant women love the taste of liver during the fourth month. But in the second month of pregnancy, liver is a food to avoid during pregnancy. Liver contains vitamin A in the form of retinol and can lead to miscarriage.

Unpasteurized milk
Avoid milk which is not pasterurized. This unpasteurized milk can contain microorganisms which poses a serious threat to your health. The unpasteurized milk contains dangerous bacteria such as Salmonella.

Alcohol
This product should not be consumed from the time you are aware of your pregnancy. Alcohol can lead to birth defects for your baby. It is best to avoid all types of beverages which contain alcohol.

Raw eggs
Foods to avoid during pregnancy is that of raw or even the lightly cooked eggs. The uncooked egg contains Salmonella which is dangerous for the mother and baby.

Refrigerated meat
It is best to avoid meat which is cooked in nitric acid. Luncheon and other refrigerated meats are not good to consume during the second month of pregnancy. Make sure that the meat you consume is boiled and cooked at high temperatures.

Fish
The one fish you should avoid during pregnancy is sushi. Peeled seafood such as crab, prawns and lobsters should not be consumed. However, you can consume tuna only once in a month because of its high level of mercury.

Cookie Dough
Women have the habit of tasting the cookie dough when they prepare yummy chocolate cookies. But during the second month of pregnancy, cookie dough is of great risk as it contains Salmonella (uncooked egg).

Pre Stuffed food
If not cooked over 180 degrees, this raw poultry which consists of raw meat juice can be the host for bacteria. If not cooked as per the suggested degree, it poses a great threat to the baby growing in your womb.
