The worst thing about pregnancy headaches is that you can't just pop a pill to get some relief. However, if you know the causes of headache during pregnancy, you can surely avoid the trouble. Here are some of the main causes of headaches during pregnancy that you should know.

Causes Of Headache During Pregnancy
Tension Headaches: Tension headaches happen when you are stressed. Being pregnant is a stressful affair especially in the first trimester when you are fighting nausea, and your body is still unused to the pregnancy. There is one one way to beat tension headaches; practice some relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga.
Hormonal Headaches: Your body is like a melting pot of hormones during pregnancy. Being hormonal can cause headache sometimes. You can get some relief by getting some fresh air and having mood boosting foods like chocolate.
Fall In Blood Sugar: When you are pregnant, you need regular doses of energy even if you are not doing physically strenuous work. Do you come down with a headache in late afternoon? It is probably because of fall in your blood sugar levels. Have an energy drink at this time to shoot up the sugar levels in your blood.
Withdrawal Symptoms: If you are a smoker or a caffeine addict, then you will have to battle headaches during pregnancy. Your doctor will advise you to quit smoking and minimise consumption of caffeine. Your headaches are probably a withdrawal symptom from these stimulants.
Triggered Headaches: You become extra-sensitive to sound during pregnancy. Loud noises, too much talking and the ruckus of traffic can be headache triggers for you. The only way to avoid headaches will be to avoid the triggers. Try to find a silent haven for yourself. If you are in office, an empty conference room is ideal for relaxing. If you are at home switch off the television, turn off the lights and just relax for a while.
