Healthy Ways To Eat Broccoli
Healthy ways to include broccoli:
Raw: This is one of the easiest ways of eating this fresh green vegetable. The crunchy and juicy broccoli can be consumed raw. Raw broccoli has the highest amount of nutrients and vitamins. Wash and cut it properly to remove germs and pests. If you cannot eat it raw, add some yogurt or tofu toppings and then eat it. You can also add it in your vegetable salad and eat it with other tasty veggies like beetroot, carrots, asparagus, cucumber, tomatoes etc.
As a sauce: Broccoli sauce is spicy, tasty and healthy! You can just make a sauce of broccoli and add few spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, tomatoes etc to make a perfect sauce. You can add this broccoli sauce in pasta or salad. The sauce will add a different colour, flavour and aroma to the dish.
Broccoli soup: You can enjoy the monsoon season with a bowlful of soup. Broccoli soup can be made with other vegetables such as onion, tomatoes etc and give a completely new flavour. Add cheese if the vegetable soup seems tasteless to you. You can also have it with bread sticks as a healthy evening snack.
Steamed: Many people prefer having steamed broccoli. Though it is an easy method, steaming can burn a few essential nutrients and vitamins. Have steamed broccoli with other vegetables such as carrots, asparagus and cabbage. Do not forget to add spices especially black pepper to make it taste good.
Broccoli juice: Foodies especially dieters always love to drink vegetable or fruit juice. Juice keeps you hydrated, flushes out toxins and are filling too! Just blend this healthy green vegetable with other vegetables. Add black pepper and salt. Enjoy the new juice variety. You can have this regularly to stay fit, lose weight and also control heart conditions.
As an ingredient: Add few broccoli florets to a dish and have it. Your dish will get a new flavour and this way, you will can broccoli without bothering about the taste of it. When mixed with a sabzi, the real taste of broccoli can hardly be recognized!
