Take a look at how you make the raw banana puttu recipe Serves: 3 Preparation time: 20 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes Ingredients Raw banana - 1 nos (grated) Onion - 1 nos (sliced) Green Chilly - 2 nos (sliced) Ginger - 1 piece (crushed) Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp Urad Dhal - 1 tsp Curry leaves - 1 sprig Coconut - 2 tbsp (grated) Coconut oil - 2 tbsp Salt to taste Method 1. You need to steam cook the raw banana for 10 minutes in the cooker. 2. Leave it aside for 10 to 15 minutes to cool. Grate the banana with the help of a carrot grater. 3. In a pan add coconut oil, mustard seeds and urad dhal and stir the saute the contents. 4. When the contents are sauted, add in the curry leaves to the given mixture. 5. To the mixture, add in the sliced onion, the green chilli and the crushed ginger. 6. Gently stir the mixture for 10 minutes on a medium flame till it turns into a golden brown colour. 7. To this mixture, add in the grated raw banana and the required salt. Now gently mix the contents together on a slow flame. 8. Finally add in the grated coconut and stir it for 2 to 3 minutes. 9. Now remove from the stove and switch the flame off. Your raw banana puttu is ready to eat. You can eat this yummy and healthy breakfast hot or cold. However, it tastes best when it is hot.

Ingredients

Raw banana - 1 nos (grated)
Brown Rice powder - 1 cup
Coconut - 2 cups (grated)
Salt to taste
Sugar

Method

1. Mix the puttu powder with a little water.
2 Add in the salt to the mixture.
3. Put in the raw banana to the ingredients and mix them together.
4. In a puttu vessel, set the mixture gently. The mixture has to be put by 1/4 amount.
5. Add 3 tbsp of grated coconut and place it on the puttu.
6. Sprinkle the sugar on the puttu gently.
7. Reapply the puttu flour on the first set, the coconut and sugar granules.
8. Close the lid of the puttu vessel.
9. Allow it to cook in the steam for 20 minutes.

Your raw banana puttu is ready to eat. You can eat this yummy and healthy breakfast hot or cold. However, it tastes best when it is hot.
