Thai Seer Fish Curry Recipe For Lunch

Fish is one of the most healthiest foods you can have daily. Fish is an important and healthy food so you can now cook it in various ways to please your tummy.

This afternoon, we present to you a Thai seer fish curry. This yummy fish recipe is one of a kind, since we do not add oil to the dish. Cooking the Thai seer fish curry without oil is beneficial for those who are on a weight loss program.

Thai Seer Fish Curry Recipe For Lunch

Here is how you make the Thai seer fish curry, take a look:

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • Seer fish - ½ kg
  • Tamarind - 10 gms (soaked in one cup of water)
  • Onion - 2 (chopped)
  • Ginger - ½ tsp (paste)
  • Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
  • Coconut - 1 cup (grated coconut)
  • Green chillies - 2 (sliced)
  • Turmeric - a pinch
  • Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves - 5
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Sat to taste

Procedure

  1. In a bowl, take the chopped seer fish. Add in the tamarind juice to the fish and let it soak for five minutes.
  2. On a medium flame, heat a clay pot.
  3. When the pot is hot, drop in the soaked fish and add in the chopped onion and tomatoes.
  4. Now bring the ingredients in the clay pot to a boil. Add in the grated coconut and the turmeric powder. Mix the seer fish gently using a flat spoon.
  5. After 10 minutes, drop in the sliced green chillies and add to the pot a little more water if needed.
  6. Let the ingredients cook well for another 5 minutes.
  7. Now add in the chilli powder, salt and a pinch of turmeric to the ingredients. Give it a gentle stir.
  8. Now add in the curry leaves and the ginger paste the Thai seer curry. On a simmer flame let it cook for another 10 minutes until the fish is cooked.
  9. When done, you can garnish the Thai seer fish curry with chopped coriander leaves or fried onions.

Your Thai seer fish curry is now ready to eat. This fish curry goes well with coconut rice. Enjoy your yummy lunch.
