Dandasana or the staff pose is one of the simplest sitting postures of Yoga asanas. It prepares one for doing other asanas. The term 'Danda' would mean a staff.
1.Sit erect with your legs outstretched straight with feet together.
2.Place your hands by your side with fingers pointing forward
3.Shut your eyes for concentration and breathe normally
4.It is good to do this asana first before opting to practise other Dandasanas
