Chaiti Chhath 2024 Dates and Muhurat: Chaiti Chhath festival has special significance in Hinduism. This festival is celebrated twice a year. First in Chaitra month and second in Kartik month. According to the Hindu calendar, the holy festival of Chhath is celebrated on the sixth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month. Especially the Chhath festival of Kartik month has great importance.
But people also celebrate this Chhath with great joy and enthusiasm. This fast starts with taking bath and eating. After this, women keep a waterless fast for 36 continuous hours, then break their fast after offering water to Lord Sun. Let us know in detail the importance and dates of Chaiti Chhath.

Chaiti Chhath 2024 Date And Time
According to the Hindu calendar, the holy festival of Chaiti Chhath will be celebrated between 12th and 15th April. It will start with proper bathing and eating.
* Friday, April 12, 2024 - Taking a bath and eat
* Saturday, April 13, 2024 - Kharna
* Sunday 14th April 2024 - Evening Arghya
* Monday, April 15, 2024 - Arghya and Paran in the morning.
Bathing And Eating On Chaiti Chhath
According to the Panchang, Chaiti Chhath starts from the Chaturthi date of Chaitra month. On this day, after taking a bath in Brahma Muhurta, women worship the Lord Sun according to the rituals. On this day pure vegetarian food is consumed.
Kharna On Chaiti Chhath
The second day of Chaiti Chhath is known as Kharna. From this day, women start a continuous 36-hour waterless fast. Along with this, Prasad is made to offer to Lord Surya. After this, in the evening, jaggery kheer and thekua, etc. are made in brass or earthen utensils. For this, a new stove is used. After this, after offering Arghya to Lord Sun, women take Prasad.
Arghya To The Setting Sun On Chaiti Chhath
There is a special tradition of offering Argh to Lord Sun on the third day of the holy festival of Chhath. In the evening, women use water and milk to offer water to the setting sun.
Arghya To The Rising Sun On Chaiti Chhath
On this day, during sunrise, women offer Arghya to Lord Sun. Along with this, we pray to Chhathi Maiya for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of the children and the entire family. After that, the fast is broken.
