The one who is due for all the good in this wide world,Is the man who keeps away from his neighbour's women.

The wide world that is engirt by the fearful sea, has many types of people; but the one who is likely to be the recipient of all the graces is the man who does not lust for the embrace of another man's wife. This interpretation is according to Parimelalagar. Manakudavar would call Nalakuriyar as virum or desirable persons. Parithiar would give its meaning as 'Nallavar' persons who earn a good name.

A high standard of virtue and, therefore, of the good graces that flow there from are attributed to the man who upholds the honour of his neighbour's wife, and generally of all other women.
