Laxmi, the goddess of wealth, will graciously reside in the house,

Of one who feeds his guests with a cheerful face.

With his welcoming smile to his guests, the householder will surely bring into residence in his house, the Goddess of all good fortune.

Kural 92 uses the same two words 'akanamarandhu' and 'mukanamarndhu' in a slightly different context. Kural 93 is a little more explanatory when it says 'mukathaan amarndhu'.
